Over ten years ago no one imagined that there would be cycling tour on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau which has an average elevation of over 4,000 meters. The well developed routes include: Lhasa City-Golmd City (in Qinghai Province); Lhasa Gyangtse-Xigaze; Lhasa-Xigaze-Zhangmu.

Ten Thousand People Cycling Tour in Shanghai
This will be held every Saturday from mid October to mid November. About 5,000 lovers of cycling will participate to exercise and view the city in a unique way.

Taihu Lake is a vast expense of blue water, on which fishing boats come and go. Around it the picturesque scenery includes green bamboo forests. The race will be held in September. Participants in the race will have an opportunity of enjoying the beauty of the rivers and lakes of South China.

1. "Traveling on the Central Plains" Zhengzhou-Shaolin Temple, Zhengzhou-Kaifeng, Zhengzhou-the Yellow River, Luoyang-Xiaolangdi Reservoir. Cyclists can experience and observe life and folk customs in the Central Plains region, and visit tourist spots along the way.
2. "On a Country Road": starting at the downtown area of a city, cyclists will go to nearby villages in the countryside to visit high-tech agricultural plantation areas, to experience the great changes that have taken place in China's rural areas after the reforms and the opening to the outside world. On the farms they can observe farmers' life and local customs, and they can visit tourist spots along the way.
3. "Streets and Alleys Tour": new special cycling routes will be opened in the cities of Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Kaifeng. Cyclists can visit all the tourist spots and the old areas of the cities, and experience the pleasures of cycling in China.
